This was Ainsleigh at the fair in 2006 (she was there as a 2 month old in 2005, but no pics of that). Reading a Swedish story.
Then last year, 2007, dancing around the tree with Farmor.
This year she declared that dancing around the tree was “too scary,” so instead she hung out with Farfar and listened to the music. Yes, that’s the same shirt all 3 years. It’s pretty small now, and when we yanked it on that morning she said “I think this is Rippy’s shirt.” Next year, it certainly will be.
Rippy wore the hat Kay made for Ainsleigh when she was a baby.
This is a cross-stitch that Austin’s Grandmother made as an Advent calendar. Austin’s Mom used to tie 3 presents (one for each of the 3 brothers) to each day when Austin was growing up.
This year, Kay tied one present on each day for Ainsleigh. No surprise, this is a huge hit. When she wakes up after nap, she asks “is it tomorrow yet?” to see if she can have another. 
Here they are, after the fair, along with the candy ropes that Ainsleigh brought home for Daddy (who was supposedly studying for a final…but somehow ended up at a UNC soccer game with Garth).
The highlight for Tracy is getting some new ornaments for our tree. It’s not like you ever come across handmade Swedish ornaments, so this is the one time a year to get some. The little baby one (bottom right) is in honor of Ripken’s first Christmas. The Tomtes definitely aren’t traditional, but I thought they were fun.
