Ainsleigh got her wish!
Although yesterday's snow was too dry for packing, today it warmed up a little and the snow started to melt. Ainsleigh was pretty sad about the dwindling glacier in our yard, until I made a snowball and she realized that meant we could build a snowman! As some of you know, she has been equating winter with building a snowman, and today (amazingly) she got her wish.
He had sweetgum balls for eyes and spiky pine needle hair (afterall, he's an NC snowman), and a very long carrot nose (as per the univeral snowman requirement).

Tomorrow it's going to be 50 degrees. We'll say goodbye to him in the morning before Ainsleigh leaves for preschool (although I suspect Beckham has already eaten the carrot, and most likely run off with the sticks).

That is a good lookin' snowman! Looks like you had a "ball" in the snow. I, like Ainseligh, have been waiting for snow. Hooray! Snow days are more fun with little kiddos around:)
