Easter was quite a while ago, but some few of you may enjoy the pictures.
The festivities began the weekend before, when the local parks and rec department hosted an egg hunt at a park. There were 3 age-specific hunting areas. It's always so nice when they don't let the big kids trample the littles! Ainsleigh and Rippy were in the youngest age group (well, technically Rippy was too young, but he wasn't the only sub-2 year old). Ainsleigh of course is well versed on the concept of egg hunting. Rippy did an egg hunt in the yard last year, but surely it was essentially a new concept. He took right to it and was very determined to find eggs, pick them up, and put them in his basket. Fortunately, the "finding" part was a non-issue... check out the picture below. Eggs every two inches!
Showing off his basket, and eating some indeterminable chewy sticky candy thing.

The next weekend, on Easter proper, we had an egg hunt at Kay & Reed's house. Ainsleigh with her baskets
The best shot of Easter 2010. Rippy showing off his "deggie." He was quite pleased with himself (not to mention the discovery that there was candy inside the deggies).
Oh, yeah, so there IS candy, but some of it comes in a wrapper, Ripken. He ate a piece of chocolate with the foil and all. Austin tried to fish it out but Rippy wouldn't let him.A & R in front of Farmor's nice flowers.
It was a very nice day with good company and good food, even if it did take a month to tell you about it.
